The Brazos G Nominating and Bylaws Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The planning group took the following actions:

Consider nominees for the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group Chair, Vice Chair and Two At-Large Executive Committee Members

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group recommends the appointment of Wayne Wilson to serve as a Chair, Gail Peek to serve as Vice Chair, David Blackburn to serve as Executive Committee Member At-Large and Gary Westbrook to serve as Executive Committee Member At-Large of the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group.

Voting member Vacancy for Municipal Representative

The Executive Committee makes the recommendation to appoint Lisa Tyer to represent Municipalities as a voting member of the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group.

Submission of Proposed Revisions to Draft Non-Municipal Demand Projections

Authorize the technical consultant to submit a technical memorandum, populate, and distribute to the TWDB recommended revisions to the draft non-municipal demands for Brazos G consistent with the information provided in this meeting, and approve for the consultant to work with the Chair to submit further revisions and make responses to revision requests by TWDB by the July 14, 2023 deadline.

Request from BASF Corp for a letter from the Brazos G RWPG to TCEQ stating the consistency status of a proposed (non-firm water) project

Approve the submittal of a letter to TCEQ from the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group on the consistency status.

Election of Brazos G RWPG Officers

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group confirms the appointment of Ryan Bayle representing Electric Generating Utilities Interests to serve as a voting member of the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group.

Consistency Waiver Request for the City of Liberty Hill Direct Potable Reuse Project

The Brazos G RWPG supports the consistency waiver request for the City of Liberty Hill’s Direct Potable Reuse Project in an amount not to exceed 2,684 ac-ft/yr, conditional upon additional documentation being provided by the City to the Brazos G RWPG and Texas Water Development Board indicating ownership or the legal extension of the right to use the 2,684 ac-ft/yr. It is noted that the requested documentation must be received by the Brazos G RWPG prior to the Chair signing and submitting the letter to TWDB.

Consistency Waiver Request for the City of Liberty Hill Edwards Aquifer Well Field Project

The Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group opposes the Texas Water Development Board granting the City of Liberty Hill a waiver of consistency for developing the Edwards Aquifer Wells Project based upon the current water plan and authorizes the RWPG technical consultant to work with the Brazos G Administrator to prepare and submit a letter of opposition signed by the Brazos G Chairman, to the Texas Water Development Board.

The Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group held a meeting on Thursday, July 27, 2023. The planning group took the following actions:

Submission of Proposed Revisions to Draft Non-Municipal Demand Projections

The Brazos G RWPG authorizes the technical consultant to submit a technical memorandum, populate, and distribute to the TWDB recommended revisions to the draft municipal projections for Region G consistent with the information provided in this meeting, and approve for the consultant to work with the Administrator, Chair, and TWDB to submit further revisions and make responses to revision requests by TWDB.

Authorize the planning group sponsor, Brazos River Authority, to negotiate and execute an amendment to the TWDB contract to increase the total project cost and committed funds for the 2026 RWP

The Brazos G RWPG authorizes the planning group sponsor, Brazos River Authority, to negotiate and execute an amendment to the TWDB contract to increase the total project cost and committed funds for the 2026 RWP.
